Controls: Volume: Tone - Overdrive - Boost - 3 way toggle switch: Vintage - FM (full mode) - Comp cut (compression cut)
This Fulltone pedal is on overdrive that is like 4 pedals in one. In "full mode" it's like a standard Fulldrive II, giving a nice smooth compressed overdrive tone with a variety of gain. In "comp cut" which is a compression cut, gives it a raw sound without all the compression overdrive adds. On "vintage" setting, it's about as "brown" as they come. A real nice "brown", "vintage" tone. And again like the original fulldrive II (with the push/pull volume knob for comp cut that i currently own), the "boost" section (somewhat noisey) can add up to double the overdrive (to my ears). The only thing i hear is that it doesn't run at it's full potential sonically through EL84 tubes, although it does sound good.
This pedal was used through a Badcat Black Cat 30, Badcat MiniCat II, and a Fender Twin.
$199 retail. (did not buy because i have the standard Fulldrive II)

Lots of folks share the opinion regarding el84's, but when I switched from a Deluxe Reverb to a Maz 18 the FD came too. Probably more than anything bearing out the opinion that the Z loves pedals, period. A cool feature on the FD is you can run it at 18 volts, this is for sure the way its best with the Z.
