I don't know if this will catch on or not, but we had something like this on the old boards and it worked out pretty well; whether you're new or not, just post a short bio to tell everyone about yourself.
I'll get the ball rolling:
I'm Erin, most folks around here call me little e. I'm fifteen, I live in Oregon, and I'm a Christian. I play guitar and love music, mainly that of the Beatles and the like. I used to like country, but not so much now. I also don't really like Toby Keith but I used to, hence the horrible username. I like some new rock, like Fall Out Boy and the All-American Rejects, but not Green Day. I also like some Christian music. I spend most of my free time on the computer, on myspace (myspace.com/erin_w) or playing the Sims. That's about it though...see you all around!

Eh hem, hello all. I'm Lindsay, I'm from Philly, and I'm 17. I like surfing, golfing, BMX, and skiing. I've been playing guitar for 5 years, I play drums, bass, and piano too, but not so well. Yeah...that's pretty much it. She put her myspace thing up so I will too: myspace.com/guitarisgood

Hi - my name is Larry and I am an alcoholic...oops, wrong place...
Most everyone knows me but here you go - From Universal City with is NE San Antonio, 42 years young (43 in August). I enjoy playing guitar, writing songs, tubing down the Guadalupe River, listening to new bands and music and especially going to live shows. I fix computers for ATT Executives and Legal for a living with a sidebar of helping start and grow OurTracks which is a place to download mp3's of Independent Artists in the Americana/Texas Country/Red Dirt music scene.
I have been playing guitar and writing songs off and on for about 30 years. I joined Countrytabs in March of 2002 and found I enjoyed tabbing almost as much as playing songs. I spend alot of my time between regular work, signing new artists to OurTracks, helping my wife with her fairly new catering business, trying to teach my daughters (10 & 15 years old) the right things to do in life, raising a son (4 years old) and somewhere in between all of this, sleeping about 5 hours a day!:)

Hi - My name is Jeff, and I, too am an alcoholic (I think this is the right place, actually, Lar... )
I'm 29, pretty much, and I've been trying to play the git for about 7 years now. (Man... that's sad to see... 7 years and I this is all I can play? Aw, well...)
My life pretty much involves work, racing, guitar, and poker. And that's pretty much it. Sad, yes, but I have fun. I've got a great bunch of friends, both here in New Hampshire and on CT. I can't complain...

As you can probably tell... I'm one of the Aussies on here.... My name is Linda, I'm 39 (40 in August)..from Melbourne
I have two kids (son 23 & daughter 12). Been learning the guitar for just on 3 years now, and having great time doing so. Being a mum, playing the guitar and being creative with anything I can find keeps me busy now.
I've been a C.T addict now for over a year and enjoy chatting to the people on here.

I"m Brent Tate.... currently surving here in HELL Rio, Texas. It's too hot for most things including nose and ear hairs. I'm originally from North Alabama and currently manage clubs for the Air Force here on Laughlin AFB. I've been playing for 2 years this month and in the last couple of months I've started to play some parties and small events for friends and coworkers, so I at least know the noise I'm making is "tolerable". I learned almost every song I know off of this site. I play 99% Texas/Red dirt and push it on anyone with an ear. Boland, Cross Canadian, W. Bowen, K. Fowler, just to name a few. I'm being flown into Pensacola FLA next week for two great employment opportunities so wish me luck. It just gives me another forum (and some more money) to spread good TEXAS music!

Hello to everybody who knows me and to those who don't. My name is Jason Marbach, and I'm a musician. I've been frequenting this site since I was 18 (been a few years now) and I've met almost everyone I know in music as a result of this site or people I met through this site (Larry, for instance, introduced me to the Open Mic Night at Tavern In The Gruene every Tuesday night, and I met countless important people there that have helped me get to the point I'm at). So it's pretty accurate to say that this site gave me just about every worthwhile relationship I have in the business. I'm now a member at OurTracks.com (certainly the best digital distribution site I've seen...) and MyTexasMusic.com. My first recording, an EP, has been relatively well received and I'm encouraged by the support everybody on this site and all over the place have been giving me. Ha Ha! It's funny, I've only met her two or three times. I met her at worldwide in Denver, CO and I've made a couple of trips to Randolph on business but my interaction with her was limited. I've got a pretty good shot at getting into the corporate side of what I do....Sooooo ready to move from the military side.
