I've lost all faith in politicians...Right, Left, Black, White,..They are all out to get their own slice of pie and want to make us believe that their piece is the smallest. Cheney or Pelosi, doesn't matter, who ever comes after her will be out to get his/her earmark too...politics as usual. It happened under Bush and it will certainly happen under Obama. They were lined up since 8.30 to get their tv moment, like they were Hanna Montana fans. Too bad we can't expect a higher bar from our elected "officials."
We need pole-a-ticians now, at least they know how to shake their money-makers....That's something I wouldn't mind throwing my money at. Better that, than some Acorn lady's mansion she can no longer afford.
I agree with your statement bout being no longer left or for the right, I used to go with what the right stood for, like totally, due to listening to conservative talk radio but have now taken my own philosophies as a student of human nature and will no longer support a certain "party" but will make my decisions based soley on what feels right to me.

Two things. I think Obama talks a great story but things will not get better with him. Everybody has high hopes but they will be sorely disappointed. But secondly, it wasn't Obama who created this mess. It was the the Republican administration, the Federal Reserve policy, and American foreign policy.
So, although I am not an Obama fan, I would say that it was the disastrous two terms of a Republican administration that caused the U.S. to be so desperate that it allowed Obama to elected.

Finally you say something that I agree with FF, Obama didn't create this sh!t pile we are in. It's gonna take a big shovel to dig us out of it though. And no one man is going to be able to do all the diggin'.

Ok.. granted Obama did not create this sh!t pile....but you have to admit....he's piling it on...higher and higher !!!
Don't blame Bush for this budget....it's all Obama...it is his and his alone.
I don't see how the liberals can get away from calling this simply a spending spree.
They have the right and ability to say no....but they just can't and they won't. They are buying votes for the future...the vote whorez.

Buffett finally got it right...the last two minutes of the video....he said, (paraphrased) "The current
administration needs to stop cramming pork into the bills and fight this together"
I heard Obama about two weeks ago state that ..."There was no earmarks or pork in the budget".
Now who believes that ?...Does he think we are ignorant ?

We probably agree on a few more things.
But this idea you probably won't agree with...
The Republicans and the Democrats are run by the same inner circle. So they only appear to have opposing strategies, but they are really run by the same people.
So we may say Obama did this, and Bush did that, but really what they did was only what their task masters told them to do.

I have always said we have to get rid of the "Good Ole Boys" from the government of our nation. There is not going to be any change until we do it. The first step is to limit the term of office. We have members in congress who have been in office for more than thirty years. You can't tell me that they are in touch with the feelings of their constituents. John Dingell of Michigan has been in office since 1955! I think it is time that these old bastards retire and let some new dogs in the hunt.

If those "old boys" have been elected, I don't think that there's any choice. However, what about those administrators who seem to serve both the Republicans and the Democrats? For instance...Henry Kissinger is always around no matter who's in power. Or how about this guy....James Rodney Schlesinger ?
