What kind of stupid question was that...do you think 9,000,000 Americans out of work... Europe about to burn down...France in riots...Canada with it's highest unemployment rate in the last 20 tears. Yes...higher is better....however it needs to be realistic.

Alvrez comes out of the closet:quote:
I know my retirement account is worth $3,000.00 more today than it was on march 9th. Methinks you underestimate the investing power of the middle class. Not much individually, but all together quite a lot of money. You're right, not much individually at all. But on average, don't count on other individuals having that much.

Do the 9Million unemployed people own shares? Probably not. Does a higher Dow Jones Industrial Average benefit them? Probably not. I am having a harder time believing that it's just your personna.

Publicly traded companies emply millions (that's right, with an M) of people. If the DOW is doing well and business are making money, more investors are going to put money into that company, which in turn means their business is picking up. Business picks up, you hire more people that begin investing in their retirement. Then we're back to square one. It's a vicious circle that has to run smoothly from every angle. Do they not teach simple economics in high schools in Canada? It's pretty basic stuff.

Kris (public)Hair- quote:
emply millions Don't they teach you how to spell? Better yet, don't they teach you how to think? With both outsourcing and automation ever increasing, the Dow Jones reflects the health of the domestic economy less and less.

Your ideologies are old, and you're starting to sound like a broken record. A puppet of sorts.

Crossed over the 8281.22 mark this morning. In case anyone forgot, that is where it was on the day Obama took office.

Here is how you can tell the market is rigged and owned and manipulated by the Fed...Chrysler announced over 1 hour ago that it was filing bankruptcy....The market did not react....nada !!! It's rigged for them to make money...we get scrap and crap !

Kind of an off-the-wall question but, Nemo, do you own an armadillo helmet?

You are exactly right until I learned about the Federal Reserve. Let me lay it out for your. The Federal Reserve is not owned by the USA nor is it part of the Federal Government. It is private bankers that loan and manage money for the United States. So, for example, when the US government needs money...they authorize the Fed to just bill them and ..."print money". The Fed was authorized to make and coin money for the US Government...but is not owned by them. They are a banking group of the "Super Rich"...and call all the shots. Knowing that they control all money and are free to wheel and deal....is it now a wonder that they play games with the market. Long or short if they control the game....like buying off referees...they win. Oh sometimes we win...but in the long run...the game is fixed.

Ok...I know it's a bit Ron Paulish. Do me a favor...google "Who is the Federal Reserve" You will find they are private bankers that are not controlled by the USA...so they can print money ,play the market and basically rig the system...it's thje mega "Ponzi" Scheme of all times... that has been sanctioned by the government since 1913. The stock market...the game is rigged.

Now the rigging of it all I leave to question, but it leaves itself open to the distinct possibilities to be able to do that. and Fumblef*#@, why do you insist on stirring a pot that doesn't even belong to you?
