The Phillies' bats better wake up or they're toast.

Yeah, he was amazing last night too. I guess we had to let them win one game in there own stadium.

Didn't Ryan Howard strike out like 3 times or something? Good pitching wins every time.

I know I'm a Phillies fan, but no matter what team was playing ('cept for the Sox) I would love to see the Yankees fail. It warms my heart.

I don't care about that...I just want to see some good baseball, and this series looks promising on that front.

'Cause you're a good guy and care more about the baseball than who falls on their face and who wins. I am a bad guy. LOL!

Lindsay, there's nothing wrong with being a partisan.
It's quite a reasonable expectation considering your home town.
That doesn't make you a "bad guy", just obviously biased.
And there are lots of folks who would rather see anybody win other than the Yank-mees.
I think cdt (and many others) watch baseball only during the playoffs,
because of its enhanced dramatic appeal compared to the regular season.

Yeah, I admit to not watching too much regular-season ball. I do try to keep up with scores and all that, but the games are too boring.

I don't think anybody watched the regular season too much. The best thing about it is the tickets to the games aren't $5,000 for the cheapest seats.

For real? I'm pretty sure 30 bucks will get you a seat at a regular season game at Citizen's Bank Park.

It's looking pretty dark (3-2) in Philly town.

It's win or go home for them.

I imagine someone is doing a brisk business in transfer tokens
from the Phillies to the Eagles bandwagon.

$40+ for obstructed view nosebleed seats in Gank-me stadium.

Looks like the Phillies finally woke some bats up tonight. Nice pitching by Cliff Lee and Ryan Madson. Sure seems that offense is dominating pitchers on both sides. Off to New York!

Seems like even the pros frequently have trouble hitting Mr. Charlie.

You could tell it meant something more than a paycheck to the Phillies,
although Pedro wasn't a whole lot of help.

I feel the same way about the Yankees except the Phillies are the only team i like seeing them beat. I hate Bobby Clarke and the Flyers so much I have developed a hatred for all things Philadelphia.

I hope you don't hate me. Well, actually you wouldn't be the first. I don't see why hating the Flyers would make you hate Philly though.

...and Bobby Clarke was how many years ago?

No I dont hate you...unless you need like the flyers   Just a connection, got to hate someone, I hate the flyers, dislike the eagles, may as well hate the phillies too.
Bobby Clarke is still the President of the Flyers, it was GM of the team that I began to hate him, that ended in 2007. Im not old enough to hate him as a player.
