Because Kevin missed him and I had to deal with 3 different boards on which Kev went on and on about his friend. I just wanted to make him feel a little better during this illness... Excuse me, I shall never be nice again.

Observant of what? The fact that you are a bear, in the middle of winter, that isn't hibernating when he should be?!?!

Observant of how you have turned Kevin into a "cyber-Skippy".
Just how hard to follow is the logic here, little Angie Oakley ?
Maybe you should check your trailer's furnace for CO.

Just curious, Angie.  Do you turn the balance knob on your stereo
all the way to the side on which you can hear, or vice versa ?

Actually I usually just play it normal... When I am playing on my computer, I put headphones on and only cover the bad ear... I can almost hear normal that way.

Would a hearing aid help, or are you operating on
bone conduction alone on the bad ear (i.e. blown eardrum) ?

I am literally tone deaf.

I have a range of hearing missing in each ear.  (Not to mention a constant ringing.)  It is towards the middle range of sound.  It comes from shooting guns so often and having poor hearing protection so they tell me.

The bad thing is most people think I am ignoring them when they speak and I can't hear them since most conversations are in that range.  Even worse, with some people I am!!!

That's a shame.  As a musician, I rely so much
on an abnormally acute sense of hearing.
I can't imagine what it would be like
without it.  Must make playing an instrument
much more challenging for a start.

It does.   However it is kind of like people who are color blind.  They see what they percieve to be the color that troubles them there own way.  My hearing is something I have had to adapt to so I really can't miss it.   What I hear is different than what you hear but to me ...  well you get the idea.

It is a Les Paul that robotically controls intonation
and tuning.  Check it out.  I think it would be
quite a help for people with hearing challenges.
I'm thinking as long as you play the correct fingering,
you are not going to struggle listening for tuning corrections,
because the robotics takes care of that.

Unfortunately, it only comes in a hideous silver and blue finish.

Considering Pova's abysmal record at NCSU
in the Life Sciences Department,
he's probably still wondering, " Did it ? "

The boy is not exactly what you would call the
"sharpest knife in the drawer".

Charlie I'm afraid its the latter.. I'm almost 100% sure I'm getting only bone conduction in my right ear... they keep telling me that there will just be minimal hearing loss as it should heal with minor scar tissue... but its been months with no improvement. I hear high range sounds in my left ear so when I play, all I hear is my guitar and nothing else. I can't even hear myself unless I'm mic'd...
