RF singers voice sound like a woman singing lower notes. Very annoying.

alright.... you asked for it... I don't know how 'short' of a bio this is going to be but here we go: I started playing the trumpet when I was 8 or 9 years old, by the time I got to my senior year in high school I was playing Euphonium, Marching Baritone, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, and Tuba (not to mention the offshoots like flugal horn and cornet). I was seated 1st chair all district all four years, 1st chair all region soph., junior, and senior year, and second chair all state my junior and senior years. I spent my summers playing at the armed forces school of music in Norfolk Va with the marines that train there, I had a few scholarship offers with the State Universities but I decided I wanted to go to sea instead. I went to college, got kicked out, went to work, went back to college, started a family, graduated and now I work as a Second Mate in the Gulf of Mexico with nothing but time to look up tabs and contribute to Country Tabs. As for my guitar playing, I picked up a guitar from a second hand store for about 70 bucks (Antares brand?) and started playing the tunes that all my friends listened to, played a few talent shows, a couple of weekend parties for my friends. I also played Lead/Rythm Jazz guitar for the HS, played in the church acoustic rock band. When I hit college I played guitar so that my friends would have some background music to drink themselves stupid to. I concentrated mostly on my brass instruments, playing things such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (twice), both of George W's innagural parades, several memorial day and veterans day parades, and one very memorable D-day parade in New Orleans. I joined Country Tabs in 2002 (sophomore year of college), I grew up listening to country music and it was nice to actually be able to play some of my favorives without having to blow 50-60 bucks on a book that usually didn't sound right anyway. I would now like to take the time to thank any and ALL tabbers here on Country Tabs, there's a good chance that one of your songs got me laid at one point in time, and if we ever meet up I'll buy you a beer... or 6. Seriously though, you guys are amazing I don't know where I'd be today if it weren't for this site and your amazing skills. THANK YOU. I know that there's probably (and justifiably) some animosity (sp?) towards non-paying members... in my defense I tried to upgrade but something goofy was happening with the pay site either that or it's screwed up on my end, as soon as I get it straightened out rest assured I will be a full member. (in fact I'll probably get a life time membership if that's possible) Anyway, I'm here now and will probably remain a permanent fixture. If there are any comments, complaints, b****es, gripes or moans, save me the time and beat YOURSELF over the head with your guitar... LOL jk. Glad to be a member of the Country Tab Family. LET THE NEWBIE ROAST BEGIN!!!!

My name is Derek. I am currently working on getting my pharmacy degree at the University of Iowa. Picked up the guitar about 2 years ago, and the harmonica about 3 months ago...Not that great at either, but both are a huge stress reliever. Music in general does it for me too...
