Q: Why can't I login? When I login, it tells me the last time I visited, but when I click on any song, it tells me to login again, and at the top of the screen it says "Logged in as Guest"
A: This is a common problem. Our site requires the use of cookies to make you "logged in". If you stay logged in as guest, and you don't get an error message when you try to login, then one of two things is happening.
- Something is preventing the cookie from being written.
- Your date/time properties are set incorrectly, and the cookie is being deleted as soon as its written.
Ways to resolve this problem:
- Delete your cookies. This will make sure you aren't storing a corrupt cookie that may be preventing a new one from being written.
- Make sure your browser accepts cookes from totaltabs.com and countrytabs.com (Click here for instructions)
- Pop-up blockers, anti-virus programs, third-party toolbars, and firewalls can all prevent a cookie from being written. Make sure you set any of these programs you may be running to allow cookies. You may also need to disable these types of programs, just to see if they are causing the problem.
For those of you paranoid types, cookies are not harmful. They are simply a text file used to store information. Text files are not dangerous. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just misinformed.
